Do I need to obtain some sort of release or agreement,
before I put these photographs up for sale online.
How could I best sell them in general;
by selling them online myself or by finding a stock photo dealer to work with me to sell them for profit. Looking for advice. Thanks.

I know that you can submit your photos to shutterstock.com. If they are downloaded, you get some buck.
My research has turned up blank and I'm not interested in investing hundreds of dollars right off the bat. Is there a free solution?
There is no way to sell free.
Free is free,… you can't sell it.
Then again… maybe you need to learn how to express your intentions better before you give everything away.
