Impressions of Fine Art Nature Photography
The great thing you’ll find about fine art nature photography is what it provokes and inspires . An image is seen of something incredibly beautiful and it makes you feel that you are right there – you feel like a part of that photograph – you are in awe of its wonder . And that is what photographers really want to instill in viewers who see their work .
The impression that photography of nature make on every individual is as subjective as the photography itself . If three people look at the same fine art photograph , they all may get a different impression . A bad impression may be made on one person from the photography, a good impression on the other person and the third person’s impression could be indifferent .
Take a look at a photograph of a duck . One person takes a look and quickly makes a comment on the lovely color of the wings . How the duck’s reflection is so crisp and clear that it makes it look that a duck is right there with the other duck. Those drops of water that cling to the duck appear as tiny diamonds lying there on the beautiful warm brown duck feathers. Another person may see the duck photo and says that the water looks murky and the duck seems to be unhappy and lonely . A third person may simple shrug their shoulders and say … “it’s just a duck.” “so, it’s a photo of a duck.”
The fine art nature photographer definitely hopes that his photography offers more of an impression than a shoulder shrug and lame comment This is of course the beauty of how this type of photography makes an impression – honest, open, and of course, subjective . For those who are nature enthusiasts, nature photography becomes a huge part of life.
Fine art nature photography takes the viewer to that place . When you look at a photo of the sea crashing on huge rocks for some time , you feel like you are there – you can almost feel the breeze , hear the water and smell the salt as it crashes on the rocks . That is the impression nature photography is intended to give .
Our lives include fine art photographs of nature by hanging them on the wall at home, they are used as screen savers , and they even are put on t-shirts to wear. Impressions that come along with fine art nature photography – whether it is bad, good, or even indifferent – lets us have an opinion of our own about what we like and don’t like . They are able to make an impression that lasts forever.
